Hair that just hangs there, looking average, is the ugliest hair of all. --> wise words.

I also ditched my long hair for a chin length look and think it's much more flattering. As you said, I only ever pulled my long hair back into a clip and now I actually take the time to blow dry it.

I'm there--my hair was long, below my shoulders (if and when it was down). What's the point? Besides making a great high ponytail, which made me (at over 40)look waaaay too much like a haggard Gidget, there was no reason to keep it that long, so "chop chop"---now above the shoulders, and looks as though there was some intentional style.

About

  • What do you get when you throw a true beauty obsessive in Europe together with a veteran beauty journalist in LA? Not much room on the bathroom shelves, that's for sure. Make-up, hair products, skincare, perfume, salons, spas, luxury hotels with toiletries and treatments that make us never want to go home - if we've left anything out, you can pry our mirrors from our cold, dead, perfectly manicured hands.
